Whenever you click the “Other filter | specify” box, the “Primary Filter” is the main filter window that will appear. Simply select the field on the left that you would like to filter by and then fill in the filter box with the appropriate settings.

Search Bar
Use this area to type in the name of a specific filter you are looking for to reduce the options in the list below.
Reset
Will remove all options in your filter to start over from scratch.
Cancel
Cancels the options so no filter is set.
OK
Sets the filter.
To remove a filter you no longer want, move your mouse to the upper right corner of the filter and click the X that appears.
Many filters have options in drop-down menus. These options will be outlined in parenthesis below. Information you enter into the program will be displayed in square brackets.
General
Name
(Full name, first name, last name, title) (contains, starts with, ends with, equals) [typed information]
Status
Choose one or more from:
- Volunteer is (active, inactive)
- Volunteer (is, is not) flagged for manual and preassigned scheduling only
- Volunteer is currently (non-dormant, dormant)
Family
Belongs to family (any, none, or choose a specific family)
Phone
Phone (contains, matches exactly, is empty, is not empty) [typed information if first 2 are selected]
Cell
Cell (contains, matches exactly, is empty, is not empty, is unlisted, is not unlisted) [typed information if first 2 are selected]
Address

Ministries & Scheduling
Ministries
Ministry qualifications include (any, all) of the following:

Service preferences

Optionally add one or more of the following:
- Match blank preferences to any time
This option allows you to include volunteers who do not have any set service preference. - May be scheduled only for their service preference
Will only include volunteer who have the “Only schedule at these times” option checked.
Serving frequency
Preferred serving frequency (more than, at least, less than, at most, exactly, not) [optional number] (normal, x normal, hours a week, hours a month, hours a year, set by ministry)
Can’t serve times
Can’t serve times include (this time, any entry) [field to enter time if using first option]
Assignments
Choose one from:
- Are assigned (more than, at least, at most, exactly, not) [number of] total hours
- Did not show up (more than, at least, at most, exactly, not) [number of] times
- Made (more than, at least, at most, exactly, not) [number of] substitutions
- Took on (more than, at least, at most, exactly, not) [number of] extras

Custom Fields
Custom Fields can also be sorted. Although the text in the field may be different for each user, the data can be sorted based on the type of field as such:
Text
Name of field (contains, does not contain, is empty, is not empty) [typed information]
Number
Name of field (is exactly equal to, is greater than, is greater than or equal to, is less than, is less than or equal to, is not) [number]
Date
Name of field (is after, is before, is between, is exactly) [date]
Checkbox
Name of field (is checked, is not checked)
List of options

If multiple options can be selected at once: Name of field match (any, all) of the following: [choose filed(s) from drop down]
Logic
Logic groups are a way to further refine your search. Using logic groups, you can search for groups of volunteers using multiple filters at a time. Logic groups are made by choosing the group you want and then layering other fields within that heading to create a more complicated filter.
NOT group
“None of the following things are true:” will be displayed. For any items nested under this description, the opposite filter will be found.
OR group
“At least one of these things are true:” will be displayed. You must have more than one filter listed for this grouping. Anyone who passes even one of these filters will be included in the list of volunteers.
AND group
“All of the following are true:” will be displayed. For any item under this group, a volunteer must pass all of the filter qualifications to be included in the list of volunteers.
