The Sync Process Explained

When integrating, MSP scans for existing volunteers and uses names to update their details. For new volunteers, MSP adds them to the system, linking profiles in both your CMS and MSP through an external ID number. This ensures continuous accuracy, even if personal information changes.

What information can be synced?

Syncing important fields between your databases ensures that you will always have the most up-to-date information in both places. You can synchronize essential data fields such as:

• First and Last Names
• Titles
• Email Addresses
• Phone Numbers
• Physical Addresses
• Ministries

Integration Types

Two types of integrations allow you to sync your CMS database with Ministry Scheduler Pro, one-way and two-way, as well as the ability to integrate with our API to expand what you can do with your data.

One-Way Integration

One-way integration pulls data from your CMS into Ministry Scheduler Pro. As you change information inside of your CMS, run the one-way sync to bring those changes over to MSP. This keeps ministries, volunteers, and contact information up-to-date.

One-way integration is available with Parish Data Systems (PDS), ParishSOFT, PowerChurch, Schedule Maker 6.x, Access ACS, and ACS People Church Management Solutions (CMS) - ZLC Ministry Schedule, Harmony Media Schedule Maker, LabOra, Logos, and LTP Schedule Maker 7.x. Ministry Scheduler Pro does not currently support one-way integration with cloud-based or remotely managed databases, except for Access ACS.

Two-Way Integration

Two-way integration keeps volunteer information up-to-date in real-time across both your CMS and Ministry Scheduler Pro simultaneously. When volunteer information is changed in either program, it’s automatically updated in the other. This integration is available with Gabriel Software, Ministry Platform, and Servant Keeper.

API Integration

If your CMS is not supported by the one-way or two-way sync, MSP’s API (available in the Plus edition) lets you create custom integration solutions specific to your needs. But beyond syncing volunteer data, the API allows your church, diocese, denomination, or other church software to connect to your MSP data for numerous applications. Integrate with other applications, display schedules on your church's mobile app, or enhance your reporting to generate comprehensive reports from multiple churches. The possibilities are endless!
